Where is the Senior Center located in the Santa Clarita Valley?
22900 Market Street off Newhall Avenue.

Can I reach the Senior Center by bus?
Yes, you can. You can call the transit company at (661) 294-1287 for a schedule going to 22900 Market Street, Newhall.

There is no bus close to my house. How can I get there?
A reduced fare Dial A Ride service is available for income qualified patrons.

What services are provided and how can I find out about them?
There are many supportive services provided. You can find information by visiting the services page or by calling the Senior Center at (661) 259-9444 during business hours.

When is the center open?
There are activities 7 days a week, even during evening hours. However, the office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

How old do I have to be to join the Senior Center?
Our Senior Center offers programs to all ages. The lunch program is for seniors 60 years of age or older, however, younger guests are welcome for a nominal cost.

What about lunches?
Congregate lunches are served at 22900 Market Street, 26705 Bouquet Canyon Rd., and Friendly Valley. See menu for more details.

How much do lunches cost?
There is a suggested donation of $2.00 for seniors and $3.00 for all others.

What if I am disabled or ill and can not come to the Center to eat?
Home-Delivered meals are available Monday through Friday from 11AM to 1PM. A request may be made by calling the Center Supportive Services 259-9444. There is a suggested donation of $2.50 for this service.

I cannot drive anymore and miss travel and getting out into the world. Does the Senior Center have trips?
Yes, there are many day trips and longer trips as well. You can obtain information by calling Trips and Tours at 259-9444 between 9AM and 2PM each day.

I am new to the Santa Clarita Valley and would like help. Is there a volunteer program?
Yes, there is an extensive volunteer program here at the Senior Center in many service areas. Please call or visit during business hours and someone will be glad to explain the program to you. Robin Clough is our Director of Volunteers.

My mother had a stroke and is somewhat disabled. Is there a respite program where she could participate for a few hours a week?
Call for the best time. 259-9444. The Senior Center provides additional service to all adults 18 and older who have functional impairments.

Do you have classes?
Yes, we do have many classes open for all ages such as art, exercise, and personal development. Check out the Classes and Activities page for more information. You do not need to be a senior to join.

Does the Senior Center provide housing repairs?
The Senior Center provides Handyworker service to income-qualified residents of the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond. Handyworker staff are also experts in Home Modifications needed to help seniors age in place.
